Music Monday – ShoutFest 2007
This week for Music Monday, I had to share about this past Saturday. Susanne and
I went with our youth group to ShoutFest 2007 in Myrtle Beach, SC! We had so
much fun and heard some great music.
Side note: While walking around Broadway at the Beach, we stopped into Starbucks… Josh
McDowell and his wife were in there… I met Josh McDowell!!!
Ok, back to the music part of Music Monday.
We missed about half the bands:

God was really in this thing… It was over cast, not too hot… perfect for an outside
concert and ideal place for hundreds to receive Christ!!! Clayton
King presented the gospel and hundreds of people, not just youth, accepted Jesus
Christ! Susanne and I met Clayton while BeBo was playing. He is a great
guy, and was very intentional to ask us to tell my preacher, Howard
Allen, thanks for allowing him to preach his very first revival at age 16!!!
Shane and Shane is now at the top of my “New Bands to Check Out” list… I did not
know much about them until Saturday… but man!!! They were awesome!!! I gotta get
their CDs!!! Their new
one
out tomorrow!
It was also my first time to see Storyside B and Jeremy Camp. They both put on great
shows… And yes Susanne… I did really see Jeremy Camp close enough backstage
to say “what’s up man?” and he waved back!!!
Jared Hall even escaped
from a straight jacket while Thousand
Foot Krutch was blastin’ on the loud speakers!!!!!!
Now, of course being the amateur photographer I am… I forgot my camera! But Dori remembered
hers.. (She is supposed to email me a few when she gets a few minutes)
