The Newest Addition to the Family
I know very well that a lot of you think that cats are of the devil or at least his spawns!
You are very wrong! Yes… even you Mr. Craig Groeschel. 
Over the 10+ years of our marriage, Susanne and I have had a few pets. Our kids have loved each and every one. On Thanksgiving Day of this year, we had to bury our cat of almost 6 years. Jacob helped me dig the hole and we had a moment of sharing on how much we loved Hallie.
Well, today… the kids got a surprise! Susanne and I took the kids to get a kitten for an early Christmas present. I asked all my twitter and facebook friends for ideas for Christmas type names… Here are the ones shared this morning. (thank you who played along!) This is a great list of Christmas pet names by the way.
Mr Jingles, Tinky, Hermie, Noel, Holly, Christmas, Nicholas, Beth (short for Bethlehem), Noel, Frosty, Bruce, Nicholas or Nicole, Mr or Mrs Claws, Mr. Grinch, Mr or Mrs Kringle, Elf, Twinkle, Gabriel, Jasper, Joseph, Snowden, Malachi, Michael, Rudy/Rudolph, Any of Santa’s Reindeer names (I like Prancer for a cat), Angel, Belle, Carole, Gabriella, Gloria, Holly, Mary (could sound like Merry as well), Natasha and Noelle
After seeing our new cat, watching her play, and drink milk…
Our family has decided to name her GINGER short for Gingerbread.
I’ll end with a prayer request for Ginger…please pray that she doesn’t get in Susanne’s Christmas tree!

I am allergic to cats and never liked them until we found a little tiny kitten that was the size of my palm. We just couldn’t abandon him. So now 12 yrs later our big black long haired cat-Kosmo has changed my opinion on cats. They really are fascinating, have personality and some are even cuddly. I just deal with the allergies and keep benadryl on hand.
Chris I can not believe you all got another cat. I do hope she is a lot better behave than Hallie was. Please put a picture of Ginger on the website.
Oh how cute…still the spawn of Satan…but Satan’s like that. He always comes in a pretty little package, sucking you in then devouring you. Speaking of which doesn’t the Bible say that he’a a “roaring LION seeking someone to devour”. Tell me, Chris, just what is a lion anyway? Hmmmm, could it be a……CAT!?!?!?
