9 Goals for 2009
I am one that feels that we should always have goals in life. It does not mean that we will always achieve them, but goals give us something to strive for… So, here are my goals for 2009.
- Spend more time seeking God. I have to goal to read the entire New Testament over the course of the year. I will get my Moleskin knock-off, Study Bible
, and pen… use the S.O.A.P. method and get serious about talking and hearing from God. If you would like to read with me, leave me a comment and I will email you my reading plan.
- Be a better husband and dad. In 2008, I was not the best manager of my time while at home. Susanne and I are praying through how to be more efficient with our time management.
- Become the pastor & leader Revolution Church needs me to be. Become the leader that puts others first… that empowers others to become who God intended them to be… that realizes that change is necessary to grow… that makes the hard decisions when necessary… that helps other become fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ… that challenges our leadership to push themselves to do the same…
- Be healthier, I am not setting a goal like 50 pounds by 2010 or loose 2 pants sizes… I am going to make an effort to exercise at least a little and cut back on portions and sweets.

- Laugh and have fun more. I tend to be a pretty serious guy. Finishing the goal at hand is the task, then moving to the next task… I have to starting laughing and celebrating a little more.
- Continue to blog and use online social networking tools. Blogging, Facebook, and Twitter have been an awesome tool to communicate and get to know people better.
- Be a better manager of finances. God has laid it on my heart to give more, but we have to better manage our money in order to be able to do so.
- Date my wife more! With the help of #2 and #8… maybe I can make this happen!
So there ya have it… What are your goals?

That is an excellent list, and many of the same things I have set for myself. I know I have to make some major changes, or many minor changes in order to be more organized and learn to prioritize and quit procrastinating to be able to accomplish my goals. My present ways are not working. I can’t keep doing the same thing over and over and expect different results. I am ready for a change, so am excited to get started. So here’s wishing you success in accomplishing any or all of your goals.
Good books to read..
Ill check some of those out!
Thanks.
