Growing up, I attended church on Christmas, Easter and other special occasions or when invited by family members. My parents taught me values and how to live a decent life, but there was something missing.
As a youth I attended a summer camp, and it was there that I first came to know the Lord. I wish I could say I was saved then, and I thought I was, but little changed in my life. I went on living as I always had, graduated from high school and attended college thinking I was a Christian. It wasn’t until after I was married, and my wife and I had become very involved in church that I realized I had been lying to myself and to God. He met me right where I was, and at that moment, I asked him into my heart to be Lord and Savior of my life. Since that day, it has been my desire to grow in the grace and knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ, and lead my life as an example to others, and to testify of His mercy and love.
In March of 2007, while attending a conference, my wife and I surrendered to God’s call to full-time ministry. We are daily amazed at the mighty works He is doing in our lives, and look forward to seeing what work lies ahead of us in His Kingdom.
Family
My wife, Susanne, and I met at a BSU Bible Study at Francis Marion University where she gave her testimony. We were married 4 years later on June 20, 1998. Susanne is everything I could have ever asked for in a wife. She is a great source of strength and encouragement for me, not to mention my cheerleader and my best friend. We have three children: Emilee, Jacob, and Samuel. My family, outside of my relationship with my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, is the top priority in my life, and my greatest source of joy.
